About the Inn

Welcome to Inn
Horse racing played a major role in the creation of what is now the Reflections Inn. The Inn was first built in 1959 as a private retreat for a Los Angeles pharmacist, born and raised in Kamiah, Idaho, who'd made a fair amount of money from patenting race horse salves. After his passing it evolved into Bella Vista, a Dude Ranch under the care of his daughter and son-in-law, a relative of the Tommy Dorsey family. A couple of other owners came and went over the years, the property falling into some disrepair, but always retaining its "Good Bones."

It's a beautiful, beautiful place. The river is clean, clear and cold; the trees are huge and green and the surrounding mountains force you to look up to see the horizon. After a day of traveling and exploring the surrounding area, what better way to relax, regroup and unwind.

As you turn onto our long gravel driveway...you'll be transported to a more tranquil state of mind. A ranch style property set on ten wooded acres provides a retreat-like setting not normally found in this size accommodation. Attention to detail and personal service are standard fare in this homey and private oasis on the Clearwater.

Located at the base of the North Central Idaho panhandle - almost midway between Lewiston, Idaho and Missoula, Montana. The Inn is located in the beautiful and Clearwater River Valley surrounded by the Bitterroot Mountains. The first such area designated by Congress in the 1968 Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, situated next to the largest contiguous wilderness area in the lower 48 states, which includes the Selway-Bitterroot and Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness Areas.

The Reflections Inn is designed from the ground up as a place of quiet. A place to rest and retreat from an all too often hectic and chaotic world. We are also an ideal location for beginning or ending your hiking, hunting, fishing, whitewater rafting, or get-away adventure. We now have a gift shop inside the office that you can check out and we also sell beer and wine.

Unplug, unwind and reflect.

We invite you to experience this gorgeous place we are lucky enough to call home and meet the new managers and if you are lucky you will be able to meet the new owners Chris and Arlene Yamamoto they are amazing.

See you soon!
